Dear “Be A Sweetheart” Member,
This year Mother Nature has given us some really beautiful days in Arizona. Flowers are beginning to bloom, Spring Break is on the horizon - and a wonderful Spring lies ahead!!
We've also been pretty busy here and we have 5 great new designs for your stitching pleasure. There are some really cute things in this batch - three wonderful new Quadrielles, a springy Welcome design & a cute Easter Bunny ornament. Quite a selection to choose from! We began shipping them to your favorite local shops last weekend but our BE A SWEETHEART members get “first peek!” - so here’s a brief overview for you - something to tempt you to look further.
At the beginning of 2011 we started off with a new series called "Quadrielles" which are four-sided decorative hanging ornaments - and - they're simply gorgeous!! The first Quadrielles made quite a splash & this month were adding 3 more Quadrielles that we think you’ll just adore. - “MOM QUADRIELLE,” “DAD QUADRIELLE” & “THE WEDDING QUADRIELLE.” Each kit in the Quadrielle series is "all-inclusive" so everything needed to stitch them (except stuffing material) will be included.....even the needles. Finish your Quadrielles simply, select a pre-made decorative tassel or choose your own colored streamers to add a decorative poof at the bottom. Through trial & error we’ve also come up with a new way to finish your Quadrielle & make it more sturdy. We’ve added those directions for you on the website now so be sure to check out this new & helpful tutorial (http://www.sweethearttree.com/finishing.html ) I think you’ll find these directions quite helpful!
MOM Quadrielle
Just in time for Mother’s Day this year we’re introducing our new MOM Quadrielle. It is worked in pastel Pinks and Olive green tones and spells out each letter in the word M-O-M on the first three sides with a delicate heart on the fourth side. Pretty rosebud flowers wind their way around each letter and sparkly Paillettes add a bit of bling. Our MOM Quadrielle was finished simply with the added self-made tassel at the bottom but to make it prettier we added some hanging beaded loops as feminine accents. If you’re “afraid of finishing” your MOM Quadrielle try thinking “outside the box” - just stitch the center section for framing - easy-shmeesy!!
DAD Quadrielle
Now, we can’t forget good ol’ Dad can we? - so for Father’s Day this year we’re introducing our new DAD Quadrielle. It is worked in pastel Blue tones with Olive green accents and spells out each letter in the word D-A-D on the first three sides with a delicate heart on the fourth side. Pretty daisy flowers wind their way around each letter and Crystal Paillettes add a bit of special sparkle. Our DAD Quadrielle was finished simply with the added self-made tassel at the bottom but to make it more masculine we added three beaded circles at the gathering as accents. Remember, if you’re “afraid of finishing” your DAD Quadrielle just think “outside the box” - stitch just the center section for framing!!
The Wedding Quadrielle
Just for the Bride & Groom & perfect to be used on a holiday Christmas tree to celebrate a special wedding day forever. Each side of this Quadrielle makes up a wonderful remembrance - on the first side there’s a sweet verse, followed by the Bride’s name, Groom’s name and their wedding date....so romantic! Worked in traditional blue tones on Lambswool Linen this will be a cherished item for years to come.
“Teenie Butterfly Welcome”
A great addition for Spring. You’ll find this tiny butterfly adorned welcome quick to stitch but with lots of style - perfect for your entry table! Worked in beautiful & Springy colors the little Rhodes Butterfly fluttering at the center of this pretty piece is surrounded by Spring flowers.
Our final design is called “Bunny Business”
This quick Teenie Tweenie features an adorable bunny, His business? Eggs, of course! The bunny has cute wiggly whiskers and a big oversized bow-tie. Surrounded by pastel patterned eggs, this bunny would make a great Spring/Easter decoration. This sweet holiday ornament also has custom-cut mounting boards so that each ornament can look just like the one on the cover. They come in a set of 2 - one for the front & one for the back of the ornament & they make finishing quick & easy.
