The Winter Holidays are past and the ornaments and decorations put away with
memories of fun times spent with family and friends - Now it’s time for new
designs for 2008 and we’ve been as busy as little beavers getting this first
group photographed, printed and assembled.
On this page you'll see our very newest releases plus one that is “Just For
Fun.”
Our new designs for 2008 start with a brand new series for a brand new year.
Here you will see the start of our series of BISCORNU KITS. Biscornu’s are
VERY trendy! - wildly popular and just plain cute with their quirky shapes.
Each kit in this series will coordinate with one of The Sweetheart Tree’s
best selling decorative scissor fobs - The first two are “CHERRY BLOSSOMS
BISCORNU” matching Cherry Blossoms Fob and “RHODES BUTTERFLY BISCORNU
matching Rhodes Butterfly Fob. (Want to know a secret? - we are also
working on matching needle books, scissors cases and finally a Bourse bag
designed to hold all the “smalls” inside...but we’ll save details for those
for another day.) We’ll add more Biscornu kits to this series as the year
progresses so be on the lookout! Remember, these Biscornu kits are
"all-inclusive kits" so everything (except your stuffing material) will be
included in the kit for you.
Our very popular French Inspired Alphabet Teenie Kit Series continues with
"M" Is For Mittens! This fresh new design is wonderfully textural and
there’s a big fuzzy mitten stitched with Wisper fibers right in the center.
Our French Inspired Alphabet Kit Series has been our most popular EVER and
you can see all of their wonderful predecessors in the Teenie Kit section of
our website! Because they’re in such high demand we’re looking forward to
completing the whole alphabet as quickly as we can design more!
Our Limited Edition Kit “SPARKLING FORGET-ME-NOT SAMPLER” is full of fun
“fancy” stitches and it really sparkles with all the Crystal Clear
Paillettes and Magnifica beads that are added as enhancements. This design
is also an "all-inclusive kit" and we’ve made sure that everything you need
will be included in the kit for you.
Our Teenie Tweenie card series also has 3 fun additions - “THINK SNOW” for
those who are currently “snowed-in” and cuddled up with their stitching -
check out the darling matching charm with it’s dangling snowflake!
“STRAWBERRY QUILT BLOCK” is next and is worked on sparkly Opalescent-White
linen and embellished with the addition of a color-matched Mauve Cats-Eye
heart in the center. Finally, “BLUE MOUNTAIN BUNNY” a darling spot motif
sampler which may worked using a variety of fibers...On the front and back
covers of this design we show 2 versions of the same design - one using the
marvelous Dinky Dyes Blue Mountain overdyed silk and another using DMC Blanc
floss on a delicate teal colored linen....and what’s even better the
embellishments for BOTH color variations are included so that you can stitch
the design twice! - once for yourself and again for a friend!
There’s also a “little surprise” waiting which is our “Just For Fun” design
- it’s our colorful “Fiesta Flowers!” This brightly colored design is our
first Just For Fun collection and is presented in a mini kit format - quite
literally folded teenie-tiny (did I say small?) and tucked into the tiniest
plastic presentation box ever! Fiesta Flowers comes with all beads and
buttons included and the surprise is that it turns out much larger than you
might expect.
This is certainly the portion of our Website to watch for timely updates on
our new designs and to get a glimpse of the happenings at The Sweetheart

BISCORNU KITS |
| We start 2008 with this brand new series of BISCORNU KITS. Biscornu’s are
VERY much the trend these days! - wildly popular with stitchers and just
plain cute with their pudgy, quirky shapes. Each kit in this continuing
series will coordinate with one of The Sweetheart Tree’s best selling
decorative scissor fobs so be on the lookout for more in days to come! In
the future we will also be working on matching needle books, scissors cases
and finally a Bourse bag designed to hold all your “smalls” inside - so if
there’s a pattern you’ve fallen in love with you’ll soon be able to stitch
all of your “smalls” in a matching design. |

Cherry Blossoms Biscornu
Biscornu Kit #BP-1
The delicate White petals of our Cherry Blossom Biscornu remind me of Spring
and are a perfect match to those on it’s “sister design“ Cherry Blossoms
Fob. Worked on Opalescent-Raw linen we’ve added fancy White Pearls at the
corners as an elegant accent and a custom dyed-to-match heart shaped button
in the center. The beaded border along the joining seam really adds the
perfect finishing touch. |

Rhodes Butterfly Biscornu
Biscornu Kit #BP-2
Dancing Butterflies adorn the second in our Biscornu Collection and don’t
they just remind you of a peaceful Summer day? This Biscornu uses the
Rhodes Butterfly stitch to create stitched butterflies on each side of the
biscornu. It is further embellished with tiny silver colored Butterfly
beads at each corner and a custom dyed-to-match heart shaped button in the
center. The beaded border along the joining seam really adds the perfect
finishing touch. |

“M” Is For Mittens
Teenie Kit #SV-TK46
Our newest all-inclusive Teenie Kit is called “M” Is For Mittens and it is
part of our very popular French Inspired Alphabet series of spot motif
samplers. The design is worked in warm shades of Ivory on Summer Khaki
Cashel linen and would be perfect to give to someone needing to keep their
stitching fingers toasty during the cold winter months. You’ll love the
textural addition of Wisper fibers which create a fuzzy mitten in the center
of the design too! Embellished with beautiful Crème pearls, 2 Ivory Pearl
hearts and a sprinkling of Petite beads this is a great addition to the
series. |

Sparkling Forget-Me-Not Sampler

Another wonderful Sampler to adorn your walls. This elegant sampler is
worked on Lambswool Linen in Dusty Sapphire and Olive Green tones. It uses
a wide variety of challenging stitches and is perfect to adapt for any
special occasion by simply adding a line or two for personalization here and

Think Snow

This time of year usually brings drifts of snow and you can almost see the
snowflakes on this design landing silently on this sweet little tree. This
design is worked on your choice of Rue Green or Smokey Pearl Belfast linen
and includes a darling “Think Snow” charm with an attached dangling silver
snowflake.

Strawberry Quilt Block
Teenie Tweenie #SV-T122
Worked in tones of pale pink and green this strawberry design made with
Queen Stitches has a somewhat formal appearance. Glimmering
Opalescent-White linen sets the sparkly background while petite beads
provide a textural accent. In the center of this design you’ll find a
lovely Mauve Cats-Eye Luminescent heart which looks as if it has been
custom dyed to match the floss. |

Blue Mountain Bunny

Our most recent design, “BLUE MOUNTAIN BUNNY,” is a darling mini spot motif
sampler which may worked using a variety of fibers...On the front and back
covers of this design we show 2 versions of the same design. The front
cover shows the design stitched using Dinky Dyes Blue Mountain overdyed silk
on Lavender Mist Belfast Linen while the back cover photo depicts the design
worked “over one” using DMC Blanc floss on a delicate Rue Green Cashel
Linen. Two alphabets are provided so that you can insert your own initials
at the top of the design. Two sets of embellishments are also included and
add a delightful finishing touch - a sprinkling of color-matched micro-mini
buttons to match the overdyed silk and delicate White Pearls to match the
White floss. Stitchers are actually able to work both color variations and
stitch the design twice! - once for themselves and again for a friend! |

Fiesta Flowers
#JFF-1
According to Pantone, Inc. (which is the world–renowned authority on color)
the color of the Year for 2008 is BLUE IRIS. Working hand in hand with
Zweigart to reproduce this vibrant color in an even weave fabric we
developed our first Just For Fun design called “Fiesta Flowers” - and the
neon-bright colors in the design really show off this beautiful fabric
color! This mini-kit includes the color-matched buttons, brightly colored
Mill Hill Beads and an instruction sheet folded teenie-tiny to fit inside a
2x2 inch box. This mini-kit is also priced so reasonably you can’t afford
not to have one in your stash! |
